Description
Perfume Coffee Gin
"Light ink" is the world's first sugar-free coffee liqueur.
Light ink is a kind of light gray in Japanese traditional Japanese color, and it is also the name of a thousand-year-old silver-gray ancient cherry tree in Japan; light ink is also a technique of diluting thick ink with clear water in traditional Chinese landscape painting, expressing indifference and tranquility.
The team of "Under the Orchid Tree" named this coffee liqueur after "Light Ink" to express their emotions towards Hong Kong that have accumulated over the past two years. "Light ink" uses "Perfume Trees " gin as the base wine, which has a unique aroma of Hong Kong memories.
If you want to tell the story and culture behind a city, there may be many ways, but none of them can be like spirits, through the characteristics and flavors of locally grown plants, and count each native story.
The coffee beans used to brew the first batch of "Light Ink" were personally selected by the founder of "Urban Coffee Roaster", Gary Au, a coffee bean from Ethiopia and 100% roasted in Hong Kong. Then the team of "Under the White Orchid Tree" adopts the self-developed double cooling extraction method to completely retain the floral and fruity aroma of coffee beans.
"Light Ink" uses natural 0-calorie Natvia instead of white sugar, which has less than 150 calories in 100ml. The general coffee wine contains up to 60 grams of white granulated sugar per 100 milliliters, which is close to 400 calories, which brings a heavy burden to health.
The sugar content of "Light Ink" by volume is 20% lower than that of vodka, bringing a revolutionary health choice for ketogenic dieters and people who pay attention to health.
Stevia in Natvia is a low-calorie natural sweetener extracted from plants, known as the healthiest alternative to sugar.
The World Health Organization (WHO), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the Hong Kong Center for Food Safety all affirm the safety of stevia.
"Light Ink" has the floral and fruity aroma of coffee at the entrance, accompanied by the scent of white orchid and sandalwood from the gin "Under the White Orchid Tree", slowly savoring the sweetness of coffee oozing out again.
Brewed with the double cold quenching method developed by the team, the floral and fruity aroma of Ethiopian coffee is retained in the wine.
Generally, the sweetness of coffee liqueur is relatively high, so it needs to be drunk after brewing; the team switched to Natvia instead of white sugar, so that the sweetness of "Light Ink" is extremely low, so it can be drunk pure.
The flavor of "Light Ink" is indescribable. For the first time, it is recommended to drink it purely with ice, or simply add soda water or Tonic Water, so that you can taste the coffee aroma in the wine.
In addition to being used to make traditional coffee cocktails, such as Espresso Martini, it can also be used for baking or desserts, such as Tiramisu.
The wine bottle follows the design of "Under the White Orchid Tree" and uses the brand's iconic rectangular glass bottle, and continues to invite local calligraphers "Selling Characters" to raise the characters for "Dan Mo", interpreting the tone of dry pen and light ink.
The translucent label on the bottle was designed by the "Under the Brandy" team, who once won the "The World's Best Label Design" competition in the UK. After the translucent label, the dark brown liquor forms the lines of an abstract ink pattern , and the black line will fade with the water level of the wine.
