This is a really beautiful, seductive wine with chocolate, walnuts, currants and some tobacco. Full-bodied, with a supple tannin texture and a flavorful finish. Succulent. Blend of 60% merlot and 40% cabernet sauvignon. Second wine of d’Issan.

The 2019 Blason d'Issan has a deep garnet-purple color and opens with scents of raspberry pie, warm plums and blackcurrant pastilles plus touches of garrique, tobacco leaf and dusty soil with a hint of bay leaves. Medium-bodied, the palate is refreshing with an approachable, soft texture, filling the mouth with crunchy red and black fruits, finishing with a lively herbal note.

In this 2019 vintage, Blason d'Issan is a balanced wine with soft tannins. From the young vines of Château d'Issan, the wine is already delicious to drink.

Color is an intense red with purple

On the nose, black fruits emerge, blackcurrant, cherry, then woody and vanilla notes.

The attack is frank, very fruity, associated with a good length, a nice freshness and the acidity necessary to make this bottle a long guard.

Blason d'Issan is the second wine of Ch. d'Issan. It was introduced from 1995 onwards to enable selection amongst vines growing in the Margaux appellation area. Fruit from the younger vines is used to produce this wine, which respects the identity of its terroir, while offering a tasty round fruitiness, which can be enjoyed earlier. Blason d'Issan is also aged in barrels for 14 to 16 months, one third of which are new. Annual production is around 120,000 bottles.
