Cogno Barolo Cascina Nuova 2019 ( RP94）

Cogno Cascina Nuova 2019 is a classic representative from a popular Piedmont winery, highly rated and an elegant Barolo worthy of collection and appreciation.

Key Features:

Region and Grapes: 100% Nebbiolo, from Elvio Cogno's Cascina Nuova vineyard in Novello, at an altitude of approximately 380 meters, on a south-facing slope with blue-grey clay soil. The average vine age is 21 years, resulting in low yields and showcasing the elegance and concentration of the Ravera terroir.

Winemaking: Traditional long maceration fermentation, followed by 24 months of aging in large Slavonian oak barrels. Unfiltered to retain its pure flavor, the wine has an alcohol content of approximately 14.5% and a bright garnet red color with orange rims. Aroma and Palate: A fragrant, ready-to-drink aroma, blending wild rose, forest berries, dried cranberries, licorice, lavender, mild spice, and tile minerality; medium to full-bodied on the palate, balanced and delicate, with silky, vibrant tannins, accompanied by finishes of black cherry, raspberry, blood orange, and star anise, elegant yet profound.

Style: An approachable yet promising introductory Barolo from the winery, combining traditional depth with modern freshness, suitable for beginners exploring classic Barolo.
