"Fuji" is a whisky made from the water source under Mount Fuji in Japan. Inflowed by high-quality natural water from Mount Fuji, pure groundwater is drawn from 250 meters below the land.
Filtered through porous volcanic rock, it's perfect for whisky dilution. The water of Mount Fuji is slightly alkaline, and the mineral content in the water is moderate, making the whisky smooth and balanced, easy to drink.
"Golden 襕" is a kind of gorgeous fabric that was introduced to Japan from China during the Ming Dynasty. The gold foil woven on the cloth is made of twill, amber, satin, and yarn. It is very noble. "Golden 襕" clothing is considered by the Japanese to be high-end clothing , which also pinned the winery's expectations for this wine.
The quality of this wine is like gold, and the value of this wine lies in: the excellent fusion of water, barrel and people.
This wine is aged in precious Japanese Mizuna barrels, a type of Mongolian oak (Quercus Mongolica), which mainly grows in the Hokkaido region in Japan.
It takes 200 years or more for a Mizuna tree to fully grow. Currently, Japan strictly restricts the cutting of Mizuna trees under 80 years old, making the supply of Mizuna trees very limited. However, it is very difficult to make Mizunaga barrels.
Mizunara wood does not grow according to the routine, it is crooked, the wood has large gaps, it is easy to leak, and it is very difficult to process. In Japan, there are only a handful of breweries capable of making mizunaga barrels. Suntory can only make 100 Mizuna barrels per year.
Because it is rich in lactone, Mizunagi brings unique oriental elements to whisky: sandalwood, coconut and kara incense, which are easily reminiscent of the aroma of incense sticks in Japanese temples, so it is described as "Oriental Zen flavor". . This is not possible with other oaks.
This is a Blended Whisky made by Kenji Watanabe, a Japanese national treasure brewer with more than 30 years of brewing experience. He enjoys a high reputation in the whisky and brewing industry.
It is transparent amber in color, with a fragrant aroma, with a touch of smoke, sweetness, pear and dried fruit, rich and a little mellow. The finish is slightly spicy with a long aftertaste, with hints of white oak and a sweet finish.
