"Introduction to Meowseum Cat Museum":
Artist Shu Yamamoto was born in Yokohama, Japan in 1948. He graduated from Aichi Prefectural University of Arts and currently lives in Utah, USA, with his family. In 2007, he accidentally saw his son imitating Van Gogh's self-portrait, but the painting was not Van Gogh but the face of a cat. As a cat lover, he was inspired to use this as an opportunity to paint two of his favorite paintings. Elements - "cat" and "art" are combined into creative elements, and the world's famous paintings begin to be fully "meow-ified". From ancient Egypt, the Greek era, the Renaissance, realism, surrealism, Asian art... So far, he has accumulated more than 500 cat-like works, including oil paintings, watercolors, sketches, electronic paintings and other media , in addition to retaining the characteristics of each art genre, he also adds the world view of cats. Looking at his works one after another, it is like being taught a lesson in the art history of cats! Therefore, "Cat Art Museum" became the theme name of this series of works exhibited all over the world.

"Guernica"
Is one of the most influential and historically significant masterpieces created by the artist Picasso in the 1930s. This painting was commissioned by the Government of the Spanish Republic and created for the Spanish Pavilion at the 1937 Paris International Exposition. The painting shows the atrocities of the German Air Force's crazy bombing of the Spanish town of Guernica in 1937. As an artist with a strong sense of justice, Picasso showed great indignation at this barbaric act.
The original painting uses a three-dimensional painting style, using deformation, symbolism and allegory to show the scenes of people's panic, pain and death under the brutality of fascism. On the left side of the painting, a mother holds her baby in her arms and looks up to the sky crying, with a terrifying bull's head standing behind her; in the center of the painting, a stabbed horse raises its head and opens its mouth to moan. Under the horse lies a dead warrior. His right hand holds a broken sword. There is a flower next to the sword as a tribute to the dead warrior. On the right side of the picture, a woman leans out, holding an oil lamp in her right hand. There is an eye above the oil lamp, and the light shines around, symbolizing that Picasso wants to expose all sin and darkness to the light! The entire painting uses only black, white and gray colors to create an atmosphere of sadness and fragmentation.
After the original painting was revised by Yamamoto, the three-dimensional cutting composition was retained, and the bull symbolizing the oppressor was replaced by a dog, adding a bit of interest in the incompatibility of cats and dogs! In order to pay tribute to this great anti-war work, we specially selected peated whiskey from an unnamed distillery in the Scottish Highlands: the unabashed smoke and burning symbolize the ruthless fire of war; coupled with 19 years of aging in bourbon barrels, Create a rich and mellow wine body and a dramatic content! Just like in the face of war, the artist chose to leave a record with a silent brush. Although it is just a painting, it is a touching historical witness!
