Shu Yamamoto 山本修 Meowseum 猫美術館 Shu Yamamoto Meowseum Boat Pawrty

"Introduction to Meowseum Cat Museum"
Artist Shu Yamamoto was born in Yokohama, Japan in 1948. He graduated from Aichi Prefectural University of Arts and currently lives in Utah, USA, with his family. In 2007, he accidentally saw his son imitating Van Gogh's self-portrait, but the painting was not Van Gogh but the face of a cat. As a cat lover, he was inspired to use this as an opportunity to paint two of his favorite paintings. Elements - "cat" and "art" are combined into creative elements, and the world's famous paintings begin to be fully "meow-ified". From ancient Egypt, the Greek era, the Renaissance, realism, surrealism, Asian art... So far, he has accumulated more than 500 cat-like works, including oil paintings, watercolors, sketches, electronic paintings and other media , in addition to retaining the characteristics of each art genre, he also adds the world view of cats. Looking at his works one after another, it is like being taught a lesson in the art history of cats! Therefore, "Cat Art Museum" became the theme name of this series of works exhibited all over the world.

THE WHISKYFIND is an emerging independent whisky bottler in Asia. In 2016, it became internationally famous for its "Classic of Mountains and Seas" series of whiskys. Following the launch of "Zheng Wen Three Kingdoms" in 2018, it once again cooperated with world-class artist Osamu Yamamoto to use whisky to interpret a story. Each of the world-famous paintings transformed into meows, this cross-border cooperation project is "Meowseum Cat Museum Collection Whisky"!

"Tahitian Woman on the Beach"
Is an oil painting on canvas painted by the famous French Impressionist painter Paul Gauguin in 1891, who was tired of European civilization and industrialized society and moved to the tropical island of Tahiti to live. Here he began to create his unique strong color block painting style that combines primitive nature and art. This painting is currently collected in the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. Gauguin, Van Gogh and Cézanne are known as the three great masters of post-Impressionism!

The original painting depicts two Tahitian women sitting on the beach, one silently meditating, the other holding a small object, and the sea level scene behind, through the bright and bold blue and green ocean and the bright red and pink colors that symbolize passion. The contrasting matching of dresses uses rich and changing colors to show a harmonious and balanced visual effect.

After the original painting was revised by Yamamoto, the two cat ladies looked at ease. One wore flowers on her head and closed her eyes to relax, while the other was leisurely and contented, looking into the distance. They were dazzling in various poses. Therefore, we specially selected Trinidad Angostura rum from the Caribbean. After 8 years of tropical maturation and 3 years of European maturation, it contains bright and full tropical flavors: orange blossom, honey, chocolate, tropical fruits, cloves With the flavor of tropical spices such as cardamom, roasted smoky cocoa, and a slightly funky aftertaste, you will feel like you are in a tropical paradise when you are surrounded by the beautiful scenery of azure water and blue sky.

Aroma: honey, orange blossom, dried fruit, jam, tobacco, star anise, cardamom, clove, chocolate, stewed fruit, maple syrup.
Taste: honey, cocoa, tobacco, tropical fruits, gentian, citrus jam, stewed fruit, vanilla pod.
Finish: smoke, cocoa, spices, stewed fruit, citrus jam, mocha, cinnamon, incense, slightly funky.
