A movie is a microcosm of time. This art form that connects vision and hearing allows us to learn about the thoughts of directors from all over the world in different periods and the landscape at the time when the film was shot. Similarly, by tasting whisky of different ages, we can understand the flavors of different periods, and thus understand people’s preferences in different periods and the distillery’s thoughts when brewing.
Whisky ENJOY, as a well-known whisky platform in Beijing, and THE WHISKYFIND are both movie and whisky lovers, and came up with the idea of paying tribute to the movies that moved us with whisky from the same era. We choose a movie, then select whisky of the same vintage as the movie, and draw an illustrated wine label that condenses the elements of the movie. The back label is designed in the form of a movie ticket. We call this original series FILMNIK!
The concept of this bottling comes from the movie "The Ninth Zone", which was released in 2009. Now we watch it again, it still exudes a futuristic temperament, with the theme of ugly aliens that alludes to the current situation in South Africa. Refugee camp, coupled with the journalistic camera style, the film was nominated for four Oscars that year. From a movie viewing perspective, this movie directly and unmodifiedly presents human nature, which is shocking. Just like our feeling when drinking this Miltonduff, although we are young, it goes straight into our hearts.
