Kyoto 京都西陣織黑帶 Blended Whisky

Nishijin weaving is ⛩Kyoto’s traditional weaving technique. Kyoto Distillery uses Nishijin weaving in their ✨first whisky bottle design, making this series more fully showcase the beauty of Kyoto’s traditional culture

Kyoto Miyako Distillery is located in Kyotanba Town, a quiet town on the Tamba Plateau, surrounded by mountains.

Due to its location on a high plateau, the Kyotanba area has a large temperature difference between day and night. The environment with severe temperature difference has a great impact on the aging of wine barrels, which can greatly accelerate its aging progress.

In addition, the water of Kyoto Shuzo comes from the Yura River, a tributary of the Kamiwachi River, which is known as a natural fishing ground, and its water quality is smooth, sweet and mellow.

Kyoto Distillery has two 5,000-liter pot stills, the onion type and the drum type.

Onion-shaped pot stills produce rich and complex new wines, while drum-shaped pot stills produce new wines with delicate and elegant flavors.

Distilling raw wine with different styles of stills can give it a deeper and wider range of flavors.

It exudes elegant and rich sweet pear aroma, with a touch of new white oak barrel.

The taste is mellow and smooth, with vanilla and caramel sweetness from white oak barrels, and a long aftertaste.
