This limited edition is a testament to the Suntory family craft tradition and "Kogei" (meaning "traditional Japanese craftsmanship").

An appreciation of both craftsmanship and beauty is an endless catalyst for creativity. It embodies the Suntory House's "making" philosophy and ongoing commitment to innovation.

The debut 2024 Japanese Kimono Edition is created in collaboration with Chiso, a renowned kimono house in Kyoto that has been crafting the finest Japanese kimonos since 1555.

Chiso’s pattern makers used the traditional Bokashi-zome (gradient dyeing) method to incorporate the story of the Suntory family and these unique Yamazaki and Hakushu whiskeys into the bottle labels and outer packaging.

Yamazaki packaging features a Chiso kimono that incorporates an intricate print inspired by the tranquil Yamazaki distillery and depicts three converging rivers, evoking a sense of calm. Golden embellishments are reminiscent of floating clouds, adding an elegant touch.

Tasting notes:

Nose: Intense floral notes of bitter orange marmalade and dark chocolate, gently smoky.

Taste: smoke with mild sweetness and subtle citrus note
