🥃GlenDronach Original 8 Years Old Highland Single Malt🥃

The Glendona Winery was established in 1826. The winery was suspended in 1996 until it was reopened in 2002, and it was closed for 6 years.

The distillery started production on May 14, 2002, but after that, all the new distilled wines were matured in bourbon barrels. Therefore, the Sherry cask wines before 1996 became a must-drink for whisky lovers. of premium wine.

James Allardice founded the distillery in 1826 and it was bought by William Teacher & Sons in 1960.

In 1966, the stills of the winery were expanded from two to four and the traditional and manual production methods were maintained.

After the winery closed in 1996, until the three partners Billy Walker, Geoff Bell & Wayne Keiswetter purchased Glendronach from Pernod Ricard and gave the winery new life.

Glendronach is also an important base wine for Ballantine and Teachers. It is heated directly by coal, wooden fermentation tanks, flat storage, no condensation and no caramel added. Everything returns to tradition! Adhering to the traditional principles of an independent distillery, we insist on making high-quality whisky rather than large quantities of whisky.

But it also allows for more creativity, flexibility and a closer relationship with customers.

Unveiled in mid-2015, Glendrona’s The Hielan is an 8-year-old single malt from Highland Distilleries that is quite beautiful, mature and bonded with bourbon and sherry casks.

Pleasantly oily, with good chewy raisin and almond flavors, dominated by citrus and spice.

Nose: Honey malt, vanilla fudge and citrus zest. Lightly chocolatey raisins and a touch of cinnamon.

Taste: More spices come through the throat, strong vanilla, and oil elements are well maintained. There are freshly baked biscuits topped with almonds and plump sultanas.

Finish: Fairly long, with intense fruit and ginger.
