🎨 Collaboration Background and Design Features

Takashi Murakami x Dom Pérignon: Japanese contemporary art master Takashi Murakami, renowned globally for his signature "Superflat" style, psychedelic flowers, and Mr. DOB character, collaborates with Dom Pérignon. This collaboration incorporates his classic "Flower Motif" and "Mr. DOB" motifs into the bottle and gift box design of the 2015 vintage, creating a highly collectible art limited edition.

Design Concept: Murakami stated, "Dom Pérignon represents the essence of time, while my art attempts to capture the joy of the present and eternity.
The combination of these two symbolizes a dialogue between the art of aging champagne and contemporary popular culture."

Packaging Features:

Bottle: The classic black Dom Pérignon bottle is adorned with Murakami's psychedelic flowers and Mr. DOB character, creating a vibrant and visually striking design.

Gift Box: An exclusive art gift box, imprinted with Takashi Murakami's iconic design, making it highly collectible and a valuable gift.

🍾 Vintage Background and Winemaking Process

2015 Vintage Characteristics: 2015 was a "Sunny Vintage" in the Champagne region, characterized by mild winters, cold springs, and extremely hot and dry summers (August being the hottest since 1961). The grapes were exceptionally ripe and healthy, hailed by many wine critics as "one of the best vintages of the last decade," showcasing a perfect balance of ripe fruit and bright acidity.

Grape Origin: Grapes are carefully selected from 17 Grand Cru villages (the core appellations of Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims), comprising approximately 50% Pinot Noir (providing ripe stone fruit and body) and approximately 50% Chardonnay (offering citrus freshness and minerality).

Winemaking Process: No malolactic fermentation (Non-MLF) is used throughout the entire process to preserve natural acidity and pure fruit aromas; lees aging for approximately 8–10 years (disgorgement in 2023–2024), with a dosage of approximately 4–5 g/L (Brut level).

Aging Potential: Aged for another 2 years after disgorgement before release, for a total aging time of approximately 10–12 years, exhibiting significant long-term aging potential (up to 2035–2045).
