Founded in 2015 by Alex Foillard, son of the renowned Jean Foillard, Domaine Alex Foillard is located in the Brouilly district of the Beaujolais region of France.
Alex has studied and integrated winemaking techniques from various locations, including Montpellier, Burgundy, Australia, and Japan. Adhering to his father Jean Foillard's naturalistic approach, Alex focuses on meticulous vineyard management, minimizing human intervention during winemaking, and emphasizing the unique character of the terroir and the grapes.

Alex Foillard not only inherits Jean Foillard's natural winemaking philosophy in the Morgon region, but also develops his own wines based on the Brouilly region, showcasing a distinct style distinct from his father's Morgon wines.

Alex Foillard Brouilly 2020 is a quintessential and excellent Beaujolais red wine, showcasing the pure fruit and minerality of the Gamay grape, with excellent aging potential and rich depth of flavor.

The flavor is rich and layered, with aromas of fresh blueberries, violets, cranberry jam, dried herbs, and crushed stone. The palate is vibrant and fleshy, with rich fruit like blackberry jam and dried plum, along with flavors of mushroom, pink peppercorn, and granite.
