This is the only wine in the entire Sciara range where the winemaker can freely express his inner emotions, which is why a different label is designed each year to tell the story of that year. Starting from 2018's Acqua di Luna, followed by 2019's Lacrima di Luna, 2020's Ululando alla Luna, and then 2021 and 2022's Ubriaco sulla Luna (due to the popularity of the 2021 vintage, it was released again in 2022). However, the pattern will not repeat in 2023. Each year the winemaker creates a different label to tell the story of that year. This white wine, like previous vintages, is mainly a blend of Carricante and other indigenous grape varieties from vineyards located between 760 and 1200 meters altitude. Sciara's white wines emphasize finesse and the winemaker's creative expression, so please do not expect the wine to be exactly the same every year.
Tasting notes: The aroma has fresh notes of spearmint and citronella, with honey and dried orange peel slowly unfolding on the palate. After 30 minutes of decanting, this white wine reveals richer and fuller flavors. The recommended serving temperature is 16 to 18 degrees Celsius, and the finish carries fresh sensations of bitter melon and citrus.
Recommended pairings: Roasted Branzino with capers, sweet and sour pork, clam pasta, braised chicken with chestnuts, orange soufflé, etc.
