Banfi Tener Charmat Brut Sauvignon Chardonnay

Describe

When you think of Banfi, your mind immediately flies to Tuscany and its Brunello, but perhaps not everyone knows that this very famous winery extends its estate into Piedmont. It all started in the late 1970s, when, immediately after the creation of Banfi in Montalcino, Henry and John Mariani acquired the hotel in Acqui The historic Bruzzone winery between Acqui and Novi Ligure; here they are oriented towards quality bubbles, making sparkling wine a true design of love. A blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, Tener Brut is an interesting Charmat method sparkling wine whose aromatic and textural components reflect the entire Piedmont region.

Straw yellow in color, the aroma is delicate and persistent, with pronounced aromas of apples, citrus fruits, almond candy and white flowers. The palate is vibrant with good acid mineral support and citrus persistence.

The shrimp and zucchini tempura paired with a rustic vegetable calzone, risotto and aged feta was fantastic.
