Chateau Doisy Daene barsac Sauternes 2010

A sweet white wine affected by noble rot from the Barsac appellation in Bordeaux, France, classified as a Second Growth (Deuxièmes Crus).

Doisy Daëne is located at the top of the Barsac appellation, planted on a limestone clay plateau, a geographical feature that has made the area famous worldwide. The vineyard covers about 15 hectares with an average vine age of approximately 50 years. The grapes are handpicked with strict sorting, fermented separately in oak barrels, and the wine is aged in oak barrels for around 12 months, blending 60% Sémillon and 40% Sauvignon Blanc.

The 2010 vintage of Château Doisy Daene is rated as a wine with excellent aging potential.

Renowned wine critic site Wine Spectator praises the 2010 vintage for its rich noble rot character, featuring aromas of honey, fig, and caramelized fruit, along with a powerful body, rating it 94-97 points. Wine Advocate gives it a score of 95-97, describing the wine as having a tight structure, elegant and fresh fruit aromas, and strong aging potential. Le Figaro and other international critics also highly commend it for its balance, elegance, and complex layers.

The aroma includes ripe apple, pear, lime flower, and a pure mineral note. The palate offers good weight and acidity, shows noticeable noble rot characteristics, and finishes tight and elegant with subtle smoky and sweet hints.
