Description
Delamotte Brut Rose Champagne
Delamotte is a historic Champagne house founded in 1760, located in the heart of the Côte des Blancs at Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and sister house to the legendary Salon. With a strong commitment to sustainable viticulture and excellence in winemaking, Delamotte is one of five great historic houses in the region. Grapes are sourced from several Grand Cru villages: Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Avize, and Cramant, as well as Montagne de Reims Grand Crus like Bouzy, Ambonnay, and Tours-sur-Marne.
Winemaking & Style
Delamotte Brut Rosé is crafted by the traditional saignée method, with a short maceration extracting color and aromatics from the skins. The blend is around 80% Grand Cru Pinot Noir (mainly from Montagne de Reims) and 20% Chardonnay (from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger), building an elegant, structured Champagne with distinctive minerality. The wine is aged on lees for about three to four years in bottle before disgorgement, giving it exceptional finesse.
