Douglas Laing XOP Linkwood 1991 30 Years Old Refill Hogshead DL15452

It's full round nose opens in a cedar tobacco box style, running to mixed spices, barley and gentle oak. The palate shows more of those earlier, but now lighter spices, hinting at sugar sprinkled ginger with another pinch of tobacco, and attractive later grist style plus oaked qualities. That all leads to a mellow, archetypal Speyside, finish with more very soft oak, butterscotch and crushed sugar plus late spice.
