Description
Dönnhoff Riesling Trocken 2024
Dönnhoff is one of the most important family-run estates in the Nahe region of Germany, renowned for cultivating Riesling on steep slopes with slate and volcanic soils over several generations, and celebrated for precision and purity of style. Riesling Trocken 2024 is primarily sourced from selected quality vineyards across the Nahe, and serves as the estate’s classic dry entry-level Riesling, focusing on crisp acidity, minerality and vibrant fruit, making it an ideal choice for everyday drinking and food pairing.
Winemaking & Style
Made from 100% Riesling sourced from different sites in the Nahe valley, including stony, volcanic and slate-based soils to enhance complexity and layers.
Fermented at low, controlled temperatures in stainless-steel tanks to preserve purity of aroma and freshness, with a portion briefly aged in large traditional German oak casks (Fuder) to add texture and roundness.
The style is clean, dry (Trocken) and refreshing, with precise acidity, clear minerality and delicate fruit, representing a textbook example of high-quality German dry Riesling.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Pale lemon yellow, bright and crystal clear.
Aroma: Green apple, lime, white blossom and a touch of white peach, supported by notes of wet stone, mineral tones and a hint of herb/vanilla.

The finish shows salty minerality and a clean, slightly grapefruit-pith bitterness, leaving a very pure aftertaste.
Style: A crisp, pure dry Riesling with a firm mineral backbone, equally suitable for drinking on its own or as a versatile food wine.
Serving temperature: 8–10°C
