🥃Glenkinchie Edinburgh Malt Single Malt Scotch Whisky(12 Year Old)🥃
The Glenquench Distillery in the Scottish Lowlands is not far from lively Edinburgh (15-20 miles away), and has long been nicknamed "The Edinburgh Malt". The winery was established in 1837 by a pair of farmer brothers, George Rate and John Rate.
In 1853 the Rate Brothers went bankrupt and the distillery became a mill. In 1881, under the leadership of Maj. James Gray, the production of whisky was resumed, and it miraculously survived the two world wars. In 1969, the distillery stopped germinating its own barley and grains, and the place where the floor germinated became a museum of malt whisky. In 1981, the distillation room was rebuilt and changed to steam heating. And its two stills can be said to be the largest in Scotland, with an initial still capacity of 32,000 liters. In 1987, United Wines began to include the winery in its Classic Malt series, representing the lowland winery style, and the wine label of Glen Quinch was gradually known in 1989.
Glenquench whisky was not often bottled as a single malt until it appeared in the Classic Whisky range in 1987 as a 10 year old. After many experiments, the distillers agree that the new 12-year-old wine can better express the sweetness of the herbaceous flavor in the new wine. The wines in the past 10 years have won many awards in the annual International Spirits and Wine Competition, and three of the four gold medals were consecutively won between 1999 and 2001. Distillers Edition and won the Best Single Malt Whisky Award under 15 years old in the competition in 2006.
