Leeuwin Estate, located in Margaret River, Western Australia, is one of Australia's five founding wineries. The winery's unique maritime climate and diverse soil structure imbue its wines with a vibrant and complex character. Established in 1973, the winery is world-renowned for its Art Series Chardonnay, and the Prelude Series showcases the same exceptional winemaking techniques of its flagship wines at an affordable price.
The 2023 vintage is a blend of various Chardonnay clones (Gin Gin, Davis, and Bernard). The grapes are cold-pressed, partially left on the skins, fermented entirely in French oak barrels (40% new), with regular stirring, and aged for ten months. This winemaking technique balances vitality and complexity, resulting in a wine with vibrant fruit aromas and layers of depth.
