Masi Costasera Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva 2016

Proud, majestic, complex and exuberant: this is an exceptional cru version of Marcy's gentle giant Costa Serra. A benchmark in the Amarone category, which together with Barolo and Brunello constitutes the nobility of the Italian wine world.

Here, Masi's unparalleled expertise in the Appassimento technique is used to further ripen the grapes on bamboo racks and age the wine for a minimum of three years in wooden barrels made from the honeycomb wood type.

The expert use of the native grapes of the Valpolicella Classica region - Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara - is enriched by the addition of the unique Oseleta, a grape variety rediscovered by Masi.

Shows a deep garnet red color with a velvety rich finish.

Those savory aspects of floral notes, smoky spice and leather. Round and smooth with flavors of roasted fruit and sweet blackberry jam.
