Description
🥃Singleton 19 Years (Special Release 2021)🥃
A 19 year old single malt whisky from The Singleton with rich notes of Speyside.
This was matured in Refill American oak but finished for a while in Cognac seasoned casks.
Distilled at the Glendullan Distillery in 2001, the wine, like Diageo’s other special editions, is bottled at 56.2% abv cask strength, with no cold filtration or artificial colouring, and aged in cognac barrels.
Deep in the River Dullen lives an ethereal Siren. A golden maiden with a glittering fishtail, she is known for singing a sweetly sweet song that draws listeners in search of the source of its beauty.
This Siren song gives The Singleton its smooth, melodious essence - a slow-crafted Scotch rich in rich autumnal fruit, caramel and spice.
Like a rich marzipan and vanilla cake with sweet aromas of dried figs, apricots and orange peel, with a drop of water for even more creaminess.
The wine is smooth and fragrant, full-bodied and mellow in the mouth, full of sweetness. At first, it is oaky, exuding a rich fruity aroma. The sweetness of ripe green apples is enriched by exotic grape spirits and sweet coconut. A small amount of water can Enhancement.
The finish is long and warm, with hints of saltiness, hints of spice from nutmeg and ginger and a hint of smokiness. From the beginning to the end, the layers of blooming flavors echo sweetly, lingering like a siren's call.
Diageo, a long-established wine merchant, once again crossed the boundaries of Scotch whisky this year, bringing together the best single malt Scotch whisky and launching the Special Releases series called "Legends Untold".
Curated by Diageo Master Blender Dr Craig Wilson, the new collection features a distinctive and legendary selection of eight different brands of whisky, each with a smell, taste and appearance that ties in with this year's 'Legends Untold' theme.
The new collection has aroused the curiosity of whisky lovers, Dr Wilson said: "The mysterious charm of this year's collection is that it shows the original style of the distillery. We draw inspiration from each whisky, revealing new layers and depths of each flavor and essence, and then reveal the legend within them."
For this note series, the brand enlisted illustrator Ken Taylor to paint a graphic-led design for each decanter, inspired by the myths, flavours, casks, decanters and packaging of each local Scottish distillery. Capture their traditional essence. Each wine bottle is printed with its own QR code, which is linked to the "multi-sensory experience" of the winery's legends and stories, leading you to experience each legend.
