Pastourelle de Clerc Milon Pauillac 2014

2014 will be remembered as a year of contrasts.

After a typical Bordeaux winter, spring arrived on schedule, although April was sunnier and drier than average.

Locally heavy rainfall due to storms on June 22 and 23, but clear and sunny after a wet and cool May. The weather in summer can change a lot.

July was generally sunny and slightly warmer than average, while August was much cooler than usual and much less sunny, albeit dry.

The end of August brings a series of hot, sunny and dry days that last until the end of October.

Warm weather in April promoted early buds, notably Merlot, while a remarkable late season allowed the grapes to reach perfect ripeness, retaining all fruit flavors and favoring phenolic compounds.

The harvest took place under ideal conditions, allowing ample time to pick the grapes at their optimum ripeness.

The 2014 Clerc Milon wine has a distinctive personality, with fresh and lively aromas of black berries, concentrated aromas and great depth. Its tannins are round, elegant in style and lingering on the palate.
