Akkeshi 厚岸

According to the plan of Akkeshi Distillery, the "Twenty-Four Solar Terms Series" will be released in two types: single malt whiskey and blended whiskey. The "Twenty-Four Solar Terms" divides a year into 24 equal parts, each equal to The name represents a season, such as the familiar "Beginning of Summer" and "Summer Solstice".
Akkeshi Distillery started the distillation process in 2016. They hope to make full use of the "terroir" of Hokkaido and Akkeshi to make whiskey. Therefore, the distillery continues to improve its technology and hopes to interact more deeply with the local people and the natural environment. Through the barley and Japanese oak grown in Hokkaido, the pure water source of Akkeshi and the peat rich in minerals, they hope to produce all raw materials from Hokkaido and bring unique Japanese whiskey to the world. This is the vision of Akkeshi Distillery .
