🥰The Akkeshi Distillery in Japan, which was completed and put into production in 2016, is a very young whisky distillery🏯Its founder Keiichi Toita🥸is also the founder of Tokyo food importer Kenten Co. Ltd.'s boss 🤪Toita is a senior fan of Islay peat whisky🥳In recent years, he found that high-quality Islay whisky is becoming increasingly difficult to find in Japan🇯🇵, so he decided to open a peat whisky distillery himself😅

On August 25, 2021, the Akkeshi Distillery's 24 Solar Terms series was officially launched, and the 24 solar terms were released, namely Cold Dew, Rain Water, Grain in Ear, End of Heat, Beginning of Winter, Great Cold, Qingming, Great Heat, Great Snow, Qizhe, Grain Full, White Dew, Light Snow, Beginning of Spring, Grain Rain, Small Heat, and Frost Descent. This time, the 18th "Winter Solstice TOJI" is introduced.

The 18th "Winter Solstice TOJI" in the 24 Seasons Series! The first Japanese single distillery blended whisky, the malt and grains used are 100% produced by Akkeshi Distillery, making it the first Japanese single distillery blended whisky in Hokkaido, perfectly presenting the terroir characteristics of the northern land. Starting from the winter solstice, the days will gradually get longer. Please savor this unprecedented Akkeshi whisky, which brings you the warm omen of the sun's rebirth.

Tasting notes:
Aroma: Freshly baked melon bread, orange pumpkin, geranium, hot honey lemon.
Flavor: Orange Rum, green tea Maritozzo, umami soup stock, salty crackers.
Aftertaste: Slightly sour at first, turning into a long aftertaste of umami, salty, sweet and spicy flavors.
