Highland Park 16yo Twisted Tattoo, matured in Spanish Rioja red wine casks and first-fill bourbon barrels, boasts 46.7% natural barrel color. The nose offers summer cranberries, peach, blackcurrant, and vanilla biscuit, followed by a hint of heather peat smoke. On the palate, it reveals roasted red berries, maple syrup, coffee, and honey malt, with a finish of oak, red wine tannins, and a soft smokiness. Highly balanced and easy to drink, it's a great choice for those who want to try red wine cask and peat without something too heavy.

Aroma: Summer cranberries, blackcurrant, blueberry, peach, orange peel, with vanilla, honey, biscuit base/shortbread, and a gentle heather peat smoke with a touch of sea breeze saltiness.

Palmistry: Medium-bodied, the palate offers roasted cranberries, blackberries, apple, tropical fruit, along with coffee, maple syrup, caramel, honey, vanilla, and spices (black pepper, cinnamon, cloves).

Highland Park's signature heather smokiness, this peat-smoky aroma is a softer BBQ/ham note, not overly medicinal, and complements the dry, woody notes of red wine tannins.

Finish: Medium-long, with notes of oak, dried red fruit, nuts, and dark chocolate, along with subtle peat smoke and dry red wine tannins; slightly dry.
