Description
00 Wines ‘Shea’ Pinot Noir 2023 (JS95)
00 Wines is an acclaimed new-generation American boutique winery renowned for its precision-crafted Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, blending New World energy with Burgundian elegance. The Shea Pinot Noir hails from the legendary Shea Vineyard in Willamette Valley's Yamhill-Carlton, planted at around 550 feet on a forested hillside with Marine Sedimentary ancient ocean soils imparting distinct minerality and earthiness. The 2023 vintage achieves excellent balance between ripe fruit and natural acidity, with prominent black cherry and forest flower notes, tight yet refined structure, and 10–15 years aging potential.
Vinification & Style
From Shea Vineyard single site in Oregon's Willamette Valley, Yamhill-Carlton—Marine Sedimentary soils with excellent drainage and naturally low yields, the block positioned near the treeline at higher elevation to preserve acidity and aromatics.
100% Pinot Noir, hand-harvested with cluster selection, whole berries retained for gentle extraction focused on fine tannins and elegant color. Post-fermentation aging in French oak barrels with moderate new oak to enhance structure and spice while preserving fruit purity and terroir expression, crafted for high precision and long-term aging.

Special Info: Shea Vineyard is one of Willamette Valley's most iconic Pinot Noir sites, sourced by numerous top producers, while 00 Wines uses ultra-fine handcrafting and precise oak to highlight its Marine Sedimentary ancient ocean soil character—distinctly different from Dundee Hills' volcanic red soils. Shea stands as the most powerful and structured in 00 Wines' Pinot lineup, developing truffle, leather and forest floor complexity after 5–7 years, ideal for cellaring.
