• Extended Fermentation: GlenDronach employs an unusually long wort fermentation time of 60 to 96 hours, which imparts a rich, fruity, and sweet-sour depth to the new make spirit.
• Unique Still Design: The distillery operates four stills (two 13,000-liter wash stills and two 6,800-liter spirit stills). The Lyne arms feature a distinct, acute downward angle, which promotes heavy reflux and creates GlenDronach's signature full-bodied, robust character.
• The "Hidden Age": Due to the distillery's closure between 1996 and 2002, whiskies bottled during the early Billy Walker era contain liquid significantly older than their age statements.
