Describe
James Fleming, the founder of Aberlour Distillery, established Aberlour Distillery in 1879. It is located in the center of Speyside and is the origin of high-quality barley, the raw material for Scotch whisky.
Aberlour uses a long and wide still shape to create a balanced and fragrant wine with a multi-layered taste. Due to its unique geographical environment and the distillery's advanced technology, the Aberlour Distillery enjoyed the reputation of "the most perfect modern distillery" as early as the 19th century.
Aberlour Village is located at the foot of the Benrinnes Mountains in Scotland, surrounded by charming scenery and clear water. In 1862, James Gordon and Peter Weir built a distillery here and named it after the local village name Aberlour. The water we use comes from St. John's Well, which has a history of more than a thousand years. It is also the source of water used by local priests to baptize residents in the Scottish Highlands, because only the purest water can be used as holy water. This kind of natural sacredness is the guarantee of the water source of Arbor whisky.
Today's Aberlour Distillery has switched to using mountain spring water flowing from the Benrinnes Mountains to brew golden amber color. The Aberlour Distillery, located in the center of Speyside, not only has excellent water quality, but also uses high-quality Scottish wine. Barley, coupled with the advanced technology of the distillery, has been hailed as the best distillery as early as the 19th century.
Aberlour's 14 year old single malt whisky matured in oloroso sherry casks and first fill American oak casks.
The result is aromas of clove, cardamom, toffee, milk chocolate and orange zest, complemented by notes of black cherry, mocha and fresh mint.
In recognition of its quality, the new Aberlour 14 Year Old has won a number of awards even before its launch – winning the coveted Double Gold at the prestigious International Wine & Spirits Competition 2020,
and won a gold medal at the 2020 International Spirits Challenge.
