Aberlour A'Bunadh Sherry Cask Collection Edition 1 56.2% is a limited edition from Aberlour's classic high-strength A'Bunadh series. Positioned as a "homage to the art of sherry casks," this cask-strength single malt boasts 56.2% ABV, is uncooled, uncolored, and meticulously crafted by the Speyside distillery, making it a must-try for collectors of sherry casks.

Casing and Processing: Primarily matured in American oak bourbon casks and first-fill Oloroso sherry casks, then finished in first-fill Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks, allowing the spirit to absorb richer layers of dark dried fruit, syrupy sweetness, and spicy notes.

Aroma: Bright red apple, blackberry, raisins, caramel waffle, brown sugar, cinnamon, and ginger; intensely fruity with a hint of spiciness, full of the typical sweetness and depth of a Speyside sherry cask.

Palmistry and Finish: Full-bodied and intensely sweet on the palate, with notes of blackcurrant, spiced pear, vanilla toffee, sticky dates, raisins, and star anise. The finish is long with fruit, sugar coating, and spiciness, exhibiting a harmonious balance, and a slightly dry, woody character. It's a cask-strength sherry that is "sweet but not overpowering, spicy but not pungent."

As the debut release of A'Bunadh's new series, this 56.2% ABV sherry is a reinterpretation of the brand's original high-intensity formula, emphasizing "purity, nature, and sherry dominance." Each new release in the series will be aged in different types of sherry casks, enhancing the enjoyment of collecting and tasting.
