Adelphi Selection Ben Nevis 2013 10 years old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The original Adelphi Distillery was founded in 1826 on the edge of the Gorbals district, Glasgow.

In 1880, ownership passed to Archibald Walker & Co, and by 1886 it had become one of the largest distilleries in Scotland Walker joined the Distiliers Company Lid In 1903, a time of depression in the whisky industry.

In 1993 Archibald's great grandson, Jamie Walker, revived the Adelphi name as an independent bottler

- buying high quality casks of mature whisky and bottling them at natural strength and without chill-filtration. He was assisted in cask selection by Charles MacLean, who had received formal training in sensory evaluation.

Jamie Walker sold the business in 2003 and, with the help of Managing Director, Alex Bruce, the brand began to grow a loyal following around the world.

In addition to continuing the strict single cask selection process, the company also forged new paths into international blending. However, perhaps the most significant of these new directions was the design and build of a brand new distillery on the remote and beautiful

Ardnamurchan peninsula in 2014.With sustainability at its heart, the distillery launched its first Single Malt in 2020
