Alberelli Giodo Nerello Mascalese Sicilia Etna Rosso 2021（RP96）

Alberelli Giodo Nerello Mascalese Sicilia Etna Rosso 2019 is a premium red wine from the Etna appellation in Sicily, Italy. Primarily made from Nerello Mascalese grapes, the vines are grown using the traditional Alberello small vine method. The vines are 80 to 100 years old and are located at an altitude of approximately 950 meters. The vineyards are nestled in fertile volcanic soil, absorbing the volcanic heat and minerals.

This wine undergoes a seven-day fermentation and 20-day maceration on the skins. It is then aged in 500L and 700L French oak barrels for 18 months and bottled for a further 12 months. The wine exhibits delicate Burgundy-style aromas of red berries, cherries, and plums, complemented by delicate floral notes, white pepper, and smoky spices. The palate offers an elegant structure, with full and fine-textured tannins and pronounced mineral and earthy flavors. It has the potential to age for over 15 years.

This wine has received widespread acclaim, with James Suckling awarding it an excellent 96 points, praising its depth and structure, concentration, and balance, making it a suitable choice for both wine lovers and collectors. With a limited production of approximately 6,500 bottles per year, this wine possesses a high level of rarity and is a representative fine wine from the Etna region.
