Alter Ego de Palmer 2019 (JS 96) is the second label of the prestigious Château Palmer in Bordeaux, France. It's a blend of 51% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 9% Petit Verdot. The 2019 vintage was rated an "excellent vintage," with Jamie James Suckling (JS) awarding it 96/100, and Robert Parker (RP) giving it around 90+–91 points, indicating very high overall quality.

Style and Tasting Notes:
Aromas: Ripe red and black fruit aromas (blackcurrant, black cherry, raspberry, blackberry) interwoven with violet, redcurrant, spices, cedar, tobacco, and a touch of mint/minty coolness. The aromas are rich yet refined.

Palate: Medium to full-bodied, with fine and smooth tannins and refreshing acidity, bringing out layers of juicy fruit pulp and spices, with aromas of smoke, cedar, tobacco and a touch of vanilla and biscuit. Overall, it is ready to drink earlier than the main label, but still has good aging potential.
