The Unicorn's Tale

Very Rare 14 Years Old

The 14-year protagonist of "Part Two" is the "Unicorn"! This is a bottle of 14-year-old whiskey, one more year than the last time. This time it is blended with bourbon barrels and Madeira barrels.

Dr Bill Lumsden, Ardbey’s Creative Director of Whiskey, explains: “We like to experiment with how to push the smoky balance of whiskey into new flavours, so decided to try maturing Ardbbey in unusual cask types, and the Mythic Anthology series was born. This whiskey is bursting with flavors of banana bread and tropical fruits, combined with Ardbeg’s signature notes of camphor, citrus peel and smoke.”

According to the official description, this wine is "matured and blended in aromatic Madeira casks and classic Arbor bourbon casks. It has a rich, sweet fruity aroma that combines notes of toasted banana bread, crème brûlée, and burning cedar. Eucalyptus essential oil is blended with a soft smoky flavor, with flavors of citrus, sweet peach, smoked fruit and toast, accompanied by hints of fennel, malt, nutmeg and peat smoke, with a long, lingering finish. There is a finish of menthol, clove, wood smoke and camphor.

The second edition of the mythology anthology "The Unicorn" is inspired by the legend of a winery. It is said that there happened to be a banquet in a winery. The winery workers heard the exciting sound of horse hooves echoing outside. They walked out of the winery to find out. But under the full moon, I saw a horse standing up with its head held high. The difference was that this horse had a "horn" protruding from its head... The next day, rumors spread everywhere that they had witnessed a unicorn last night.
