Ardnamurchan distillery, located in west highland and established 2014, stands as a testament to innovation and tradition. 


Ardnamurchan Spirit 2018 AD is a “work in progress” release from the Ardnamurchan Distillery, combining both peated and unpeated spirit matured primarily in sherry casks, including Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez.


At the time of bottling, not all of the spirit had reached the legal minimum age required to be classified as whisky, so it was released as a spirit rather than a whisky. This expression formed part of the distillery’s early progress series, offering a glimpse into its development as it worked toward producing fully matured whisky.


Tasting Note :
Earthy mango and waxy orange peel with post-Manhattan glace cherries; Hobnobs black pepper and distant Clyde Puffer smoke.
