Ballot Millot Meursault 2019

Charles Ballot took the helm of his family’s already respected Domaine, and began to make his mark by moving to more natural farming methods, reducing yields, buying a triage table, and updating the press.

Today, the estate is comprised of 10 hectares of vineyards, seven of which are in Meursault proper. The holdings are reputable and the relative vine age is old. Simply put, Ballot Millot's 2019s are absolutely amazing. Burghound writes: "They are knock-out good. Meursault's output is almost entirely white wines, made from Chardonnay grapes. The commune's wines are renowned for being among the richer, more full-bodied Burgundy whites.

Tasting notes：

Flavors of poached pear, almonds, toasted hazelnuts and a hint of spice give way to a rich, textured medium-bodied flavor with impressive depth and persistence on the citrus finish. That's also pretty good for its level, well worth checking out.
