Ben Nevis MacDonald’s Traditional Single Malt Whisky 46% ABV is a peaty-style single malt from the Ben Nevis distillery in the Highlands, paying homage to its 19th-century founder, "Long John MacDonald." With an ABV of 46%, it's aged using a traditional recipe, primarily with Peater malt (approximately 35 ppm) and sherry casks. The overall aroma follows a "classic Highland" character, combining smokiness, hay/grain, and fruit notes.

Aroma: Distinctly smoky (ash/dusty), hay, barn notes, and a touch of earthiness, blended with dried fruit (raisins, dates), orange peel, dark chocolate, and light spices. The aroma leans towards "dry and aged," retaining traditional Highland characteristics, but with an added layer of smokiness compared to typical Ben Nevis whiskies.

Palate: Full-bodied, with initial notes of smoke, caramel, dark chocolate, orange peel, and dried fruit. The finish offers hints of leather, oak, and peppery spiciness, with the smoke primarily consisting of ash and burnt wood, elegantly smoky without being harsh.

Finish: Medium-long, with notes of smoke, dried fruit, spices, and a touch of hay/grain. The finish is clean and slightly spicy, a typical "Highland" finish.
