The BenRiach 1991 22 Year Old Single Cask #6902 is an extremely limited-edition masterpiece crafted specifically for the Taiwanese market by former Master Blender Billy Walker. Distilled in 1991, this exceptional whisky underwent extensive aging in bourbon casks before receiving a final, exquisite finish in red wine casks from Château Lafite Rothschild, one of the five prestigious First Growth Bordeaux estates.

Cask Maturation & Rarity

Bottled in 2013 at a robust cask strength of 49.3% ABV after natural reduction, this release perfectly marries the rich tropical fruit and malty sweetness characteristic of Speyside with the elegant blackcurrant, strawberry jam, and fine tannins imparted by the legendary Château Lafite casks. With an extremely limited production of only 295 bottles and a discontinued production process, this whisky holds immense historical and collector value.

Tasting Notes

Color: A deep and captivating golden amber, beautifully derived from the Claret cask influence.
Aroma & Palate: The whisky skillfully and multi-layeredly blends the smooth red tannins, summer ripe fruit aromas, oak, and oriental spices of Château Lafite Rothschild with the classic, full-bodied malt sweetness and ripe grape flavors of the BenRiach distillery.
