Bowmore 1984 Bourbon Casks 30 Years Old Single Malt Whisky

This release on the back of the huge success of the first release (of the same vintage aged 28 years and released in March 2013) was also distilled in 1984 and matured in bourbon casks, which sat in Bowmore's famed No.1 Vaults for 30 years and was bottled in 2014 at cask strength. 500 bottles were released. A beautiful deep gold color with citrus and mint dark chocolate on the nose, the palate is made up of honey, hints of ginger and a finish of elegant fruits and spices with dark chocolate. Rated 92+ on whiskybase over 30 plus votes.
