Bruichladdich Organic Barley 10 Years 2012 is a peated single malt whisky from the Bruichladdich distillery on Islay, emphasizing organic barley, terroir, and a pure malt style.

This whisky uses 100% Scottish organic barley, stressing the absence of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or other artificial inputs, and prioritizing soil health and sustainable farming practices. The barley comes from Mid Coul Farm near Inverness and was distilled in 2012, then matured on Islay for 10 years.

Style Characteristics: The official flavor description focuses on creamy fudge, honeyed citrus, and subtle spice, with an overall round and clear palate. Details include malt, hay, cream pudding, coconut, vanilla, toffee, apricot, and pear, with soft fruity notes and grain sweetness.

Primarily aged in first-fill Bourbon barrels, belonging to the 100% Bourbon barrel system, the aim is to preserve the grain's natural flavor to the greatest extent.

The nose of this whisky typically features grain, hay, lemon frosting, and a touch of vanilla. On the palate, it leans towards creamy, honey-citrus, with hints of pepper and woody notes.

The finish is mostly malt, almond, butter biscuit, and a touch of spiciness, making it a gentle yet not overly complex type.
