Bruno Giacosa Nebbiolo d'Alba 2022


This is a high-quality red wine from the Roero region of Piemonte, Italy, made from Nebbiolo grapes that are 27 to 33 years old. The wine undergoes about 20 days of fermentation and maceration in stainless steel tanks, followed by a complete malolactic fermentation. It is then aged for 14 months in French oak barrels to add depth and complexity.

This wine reflects Giacosa winery's commitment to traditional winemaking philosophy and techniques, using meticulous grape selection and exquisite craftsmanship to create a young Nebbiolo d'Alba that combines elegance and power. It pairs beautifully with a variety of foods and develops more character with age.

The wine shows a deep ruby red color with slight orange hues. Its bouquet is elegant, with aromas of red flowers, lavender, cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant, and blackberry, complemented by hints of dry herbs, mint, and black olive. On the palate, it is tightly structured and elegant, offering dark black fruit, chocolate, and mineral tannins. The acidity is bright and lively, achieving overall balance and excellent aging potential.
