Casa Lebai, run by the Calvo brothers, is a rising small boutique winery in Ribera del Duero, emphasizing the combination of traditional craftsmanship and innovative concepts, and has received numerous international awards and certifications.

Casa Lebai's Matadiablos 2022 is a red wine from the Ribera del Duero region of Spain, made from 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) grapes grown at an altitude of 826 meters.

It is pressed using traditional stone vats with whole bunches of grapes (including stems), undergoes spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts, and is aged only in large-capacity neutral oak barrels in a restored 15th-century historical cellar, without the use of new barrels, emphasizing the complexity and minerality of the terroir.

The style is that of a modern Ribera del Duero: light-bodied, with floral aromas, red fruit, rocky minerality, and fine tannins, very fresh and best served slightly chilled. The wine is cherry red with a purplish sheen. On the palate, it is firm yet delicate, with an elegant structure and pronounced notes of red fruit, cherry, pomegranate, and subtle herbal and mineral flavors. The tannins are fine, and the finish is clean and long.

Production is limited, with only about 5,700 bottles produced. It emphasizes hand-harvesting and minimal intervention, highlighting the unique microclimate and limestone soil of the vineyard.
