Description
Chateau Cantemerle Haut Medoc 2015
This is a red wine from the Bordeaux region of France, and it is the official wine of the 1855 fifth-growth winery, Chateau Gardame.
Château Cadome is a fifth-growth winery located in the Bordeaux-Médoc region. Its long history, glorious honor and high-quality wines have won the favor of many celebrities in the industry.
The winery's 2018 vintage wines continue to be of excellent quality and have received high marks from wine critics.
Deep garnet red in color, the wine offers aromas of cassis liqueur, raisins and plums with hints of anise and earth. It is full-bodied and fruity with hints of candied dried fruit, firm and chewy on the palate, with a spicy finish.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 92
The 2015 Cantemerle is a blend of 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot. It offers plenty of blackberry and raspberry fruit on the nose, not the best defined that I encountered among the Haut-Médocs, but with plenty of "stuffing." The palate is medium-bodied with supple red and black fruit on the entry matched with a fine thread of acidity. There is a pleasing crescendo in the mouth driven by that Merlot content and it finishes with some swagger. This is a very fine Cantemerle exuding joie-de-vivre that I can see doling out plenty of drinking pleasure over the next decade and beyond. Tasted thrice with consistent notes. Drink 2019-2033.

Impressive richness and clarity of red and dark berries. Lightly spiced-pastry aromas, too. The palate has a very crisp, polished and groomed tannin texture, as well as super fresh flavors that carry long. Great wine. Try from 2022.
