Chateau Figeac 2012

Chateau Figeac is one of the most distinguished and historic estates in Saint-Emilion, with origins dating back over 200 years and a unique gravel-rich soil that gives the wine a structure reminiscent of the Left Bank. The 2012 vintage is a blend of Merlot (40%), Cabernet Sauvignon (40%), and Cabernet Franc (20%), displaying both classicism and elegance.

Vinification & Style
The 2012 season was challenging, so the estate relied on rigorous grape selection and careful winemaking to ensure quality. Each grape variety was vinified separately before blending, followed by 18–20 months of oak aging. Merlot leads to generous fruit, while the Cabernet components provide minerality, blackcurrant, plum, spice, and excellent balance with impressive ageing potential.
