Description

Chateau Talbot is located in the Haut-Medoc appellation in Bordeaux, France.

Standing on the Beychevelle in Saint-Julien, Talbot is also the first of the Haut-Medoc estates to produce a dry white wine, thanks also to Georges Cordier.

Georges planted a portion of Sauvignon Blanc in the 1930s to make some white wine for the family to enjoy. After the battle, the winery began to increase the production of white wine, widely sold.

Today, 50% of the white grapes used for fermentation in Talbot are newly planted later, while 50% are the original old vines.

At present, the winery has 107 hectares of vineyards, of which 66% is Cabernet Saucevignon, 26% is Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon are also planted.

Chateau Talbot's wines are of excellent quality and were rated as a fourth growth in 1855.

As the representative winery of Saint-Julien, it is the well-known champion of aging potential in Bordeaux. The wine is full-bodied, balanced and stable, multi-fruity, multi-layered, with strong oak flavor and complex aromas of cigar and licorice. Medium-high acidity and smooth tannins , long aftertaste, is a wine with great personality.
