2009 Style

This vintage is a mature, full-bodied Saint-Julien with concentrated fruit flavors, typically exhibiting notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, plum, cigar box, cedar, minerality, and subtle vanilla/mocha aromas.

Palp Impressions
The palate is generally medium to medium-full, with fine yet powerful tannins, a solid structure, and a finish with mineral and woody notes. It's the type of wine that's "delicious now and has potential for further aging."

Collection and Drinking

The 2009 vintage is generally considered very successful, and Clos du Marquis is often regarded as one of the best value Saint-Julien wines, combining power and elegance.
