Clos Mogador Gratallops Priorat 2020 is the flagship single-vineyard wine from the top Priorat winery, Clos Mogador. Its RP97 score affirms its balanced power and elegance.

Region and Grapes: Catalonia Priorat DOCa, Spain, single vineyard in Gratallops village, 45% Garnacha, 29% Cariñena, 16% Syrah, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, with an extreme terroir of Ilicorella shale.

Vineyard Making: 30% whole-cluster fermentation, natural yeast, aged for 18 months in 2000L French oak foudre, not dominated by new oak, preserving pure fruit aromas and minerality.

Alcohol Content: 15% ABV, deep purplish-black color, powerful structure suitable for aging to 2035+. Flavor Profile

Aroma: Ripe black cherry, blueberry, black plum, and Mediterranean wild herbs, accompanied by smokiness, spices, toast, and mineral notes—high-key and elegant.

Palmistry: Full-bodied and robust, with velvety tannins enveloping sparkling fruit juices, pepper, chocolate, and coffee. Lively acidity drives the flavor, offering a balance of power and finesse.

Finish: Exceptionally long, with rusty minerals, dried vanilla, and blood orange finishes—Priorat's signature depth.

Serving Suggestions: Decant for 2 hours, serve in a large glass at 12–14°C; pairs well with roasted lamb, game, or aged steak, utilizing the tannins and minerals to enhance the complexity. Excellent immediately, with exceptional aging potential.
