🥃 Product Background and Brewing Process

Die Building: The Dalmore, located in the Northern Highlands of Scotland, is renowned for its deep sherry flavors, including chocolate, citrus, and spices,

making it a top choice for sherry cask enthusiasts.

12-Year-Old Sherry Cask Limited Edition: Based on a 12-year-old single malt whisky, it is first aged in American white oak bourbon casks,

then finished with a 3-year maturation in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks, giving the whisky a deep sherry flavor and complex layers.

Blended Spirit: Personally blended by Master Distiller Richard Paterson to showcase Dalmore's classic citrus, chocolate, nutty, and spice characteristics,

while the sherry cask finish adds complexity with dark dried fruit, caramel, and woody notes.

👃 Tasting Notes

Color: A deep amber color with a coppery sheen, as radiant as the afterglow of a sunset.

Nose:

An extremely complex and layered aroma, exuding sweet fruity notes of caramelized orange peel, ginger, raisins, and honey, interwoven with deep hints of new leather, furniture wax, cloves, Jaffa orange, cinnamon, fig, black tea, oak, spices, chocolate, mocha, roasted nuts, brioche, honey, salted lemon, green apple, olives, roasted pineapple, biscuits, salted caramel, white chocolate, and licorice.

Palate:

A silky smooth palate, filled with sweet dark chocolate, chopped almonds, cinnamon, citrus cream, toffee, milk coffee, and milk chocolate flavors, accompanied by bright natural acidity and sherry cask tannins. Sweet but not cloying, with excellent balance. The mid-palate reveals complex layers of oak, spices, nuts, cocoa, berries, fruitcake, almonds, and honeyed nuts. Full-bodied and clean-cut, with moderate sweetness, it is highly invigorating.

Finish:

The finish is medium to long, leaving lingering notes of nougat, dark chocolate, licorice, delicate spices, honey, coffee, nuts, cocoa, fruit, honeyed nuts, caramel, smoked tea, and oak tannins. The overall impression is both sweet and savory, making it a highly versatile wine for food pairing.
