🥃Dalmore King Alexander III🥃

Since 1839, The Dalmore Distillery has been brewing the finest single malt whisky. The winery is located on the north shore of Cromarty Bay, in the Scottish Highlands. The excellent geographical location allows Dalmore to have unique natural elements. From the clean water facing the winery lake to the golden barley grown on the fertile land of Black Isle along the coast, The Dalmore can draw on the most abundant winemaking materials in nature. The altitude close to sea level is also very important. The salty sea breeze blows slowly, and the air wrapped in salty air provides excellent conditions for maturing whisky in the wine cellar.

The perfect blend of wines matured in various barrels, and finally produce such a luxurious single malt whisky.

Aromas of almonds, rich citrus fruit from aged and aromatic Oloroso sherry casks and Madeira casks;

Aromas of wild berries and plums from Port and Marsala casks; mild vanilla and toffee from aged bourbon barrels; ripe red fruit from Cabernet Sauvignon casks.

Complex, layered and highly characteristic scents are a connoisseur's favourite.

Perhaps it was an accidental discovery: Around 1820, it was discovered that if the original wine was stored in oak barrels for one year or more, the spicy taste in the wine could be removed, making the wine more mellow, multi-layered, and getting a more natural golden color. The casks of sherry, port, brandy and wine shipped from Europe to Scotland were re-used, giving the strong Scotch whisky a special character in the cold, damp distilleries of the Highlands.
