Domaine de Baronarques is the result of Baroness Philippine de Rothschild's encounter with an emerging wine-growing region, in the heart of the Languedoc vineyards, Leigh Saint-Polycarpe near Limoux.

Domaine de Baronarques has existed since the 17th century. After several changes of ownership, the estate was acquired in 1998 by the Baroness Philippine de Rothschild and her children. After extensive restoration of the vineyard and winery, it now produces very high quality wines. In 2003, Domaine de Baronarques was awarded the AOC Limoux red wine designation of origin by the National Institute of Designation of Origin (INAO). Its diverse soils and microclimates endow its wines with great complexity. Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec.

The 2016 vintage is one of the top reds ever produced at the Rothschild family's magnificent Domaine de Baronarques in Limoux.

An attractive intense red.

Aroma : Fresh fruit aroma. Spices and chocolate.

Taste : Fresh, with fine and silky tannins, full-bodied and intense, resulting in notes of black currant,

cocoa and liquorice, very aromatic. The aftertaste is long.
